THe SCIENCE
DNA Doesn't Lie
PooPrints is the world's first and largest pet DNA registry for community enforcement. Every registered dog has a unique DNA profile on file. When waste is abandoned, we collect a sample and submit it to the PooPrints lab — results come back within days identifying the exact dog (and owner) responsible.
Registration Event
We coordinate an on-site registration day for all resident dogs. Residents bring their dogs, we collect a cheek swab, and each dog is enrolled in the PooPrints national database.
Incident Collection
When waste is found in a common area, we collect a small sample and send it for collection kit and submit it to the lab.
Match & Enforce
The lab returns a match report identifying the registered dog and owner. Management has documented evidence to issue fines, warnings, or lease enforcement actions.
WHY IT WORKS
Fines Without Evidence Don't Work. This Does.
Irrefutable Evidence
DNA match reports are court-admissible and legally defensible. No more neighbor disputes over who left waste behind.
Behavior Change
Documented deterrence works. When residents know their dog is in the system, incidents drop dramatically — often before a single fine is issued.
Fair Enforcement
Enforcement is objective and documented. No accusations, no frustration — just a lab report with the registered owner's name.

What Communities Ask Us
Explore All
What if a resident refuses to register their dog?
Registration requirements can be written into your pet addendum or lease agreement. We provide template language for your attorney to review. Unregistered dogs found to have incidents can still be addressed through your existing lease enforcement process.
How long does a registration event take?
Most communities complete registration in 2–3 hours. We handle all supplies and logistics — you just communicate the event to residents.
What does it cost?
Pricing is based on the number of dogs registered and the ongoing enforcement level you want. Contact us for a custom quote — most communities see a per-dog monthly program fee plus a lab fee per incident filed.
Do you work with existing PooPrints communities?
Yes. If your community is already registered with PooPrints, we can step in as your local operational partner — handling sample collection, incident submission, and enforcement coordination so you don't have to manage it internally.
